Guion Johnstone teaches Immigration Law. She is the Executive Director of the Kentucky Bar Foundation. Prof. Johnstone holds JD and MSW degrees from the University of Louisville. Prior to joining the Kentucky Bar Foundation, she was the Director of the Maxwell Street Legal Clinic where she practiced immigration law and supervised the immigration externship. She previously worked as a forensic social worker for New York County Defender Services in New York City and as a staff attorney to Hon. Phillip J. Shepherd, Chief Judge of Franklin Circuit Court in Frankfort, KY. She has completed internships at the Legal Aid Society of Louisville, Immigration Legal Services at Catholic Charities of Louisville, the Federal Community Defenders in Philadelphia, and the Smithsonian’s Latino Center in Washington, D.C.
