Jason Sherman is the supervising attorney for the U.S. Department of Energy Portsmouth Paducah Project Office Externship. Jason currently serves as an Attorney-Advisor at the Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office supporting the Decontamination & Decommissioning, Environmental Remediation, and Waste Management projects occurring at the former Portsmouth & Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plants sites. Jason has worked for the Department of Energy since May of 2014. Before his current position, he was an Attorney-Advisor with the U.S. Army Environmental Command supporting CERCLA & RCRA cleanups at active Army installations from 2008-2014. Jason began his legal career in 2000 as an enforcement attorney at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection involving solid & hazardous waste and waste cleanup compliance. Jason holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science & English Literature from the University of Michigan, a Juris Doctor degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law and a Master of Studies in Environmental Law degree from the Vermont Law School.
