John McGarvey teaches Secured Transactions. He is a shareholder in Morgan & Pottinger in the firm’s Louisville office. Professor McGarvey ‘s practice concentrates on secured transactions, municipal law, the representation of banks and other lenders in litigation, and matters under the Uniform Commercial Code. He has been elected to the American Law Institute and was recently appointed chairperson of the Legislative Council of the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws. He is a 1973 graduate of the College of Law and a 2011 inductee into the College’s Hall of Fame.
