M. Lee Turpin is the supervising attorney for the Fayette County Attorney Externship. Professor Turpin is First Assistant County Attorney. A 1992 graduate of the College of Law, she served as a judicial clerk for Judge John Adams in Fayette Circuit Court until 1994. Except for several years as a staff attorney with the Division of Natural Resources and Department of Corrections, she has been with the Fayette County Attorney’s Office. She has served as a general prosecutor, Director of the Domestic Violence Unit, and Director of Criminal Prosecution. Additionally, she has extensive experience in teaching seminars in domestic violence and criminal prosecution to the Lexington Police Department, Kentucky State Police, and the Fayette County Public Schools.
