Charlie Amiot joined the UK Law Library faculty in December 2018 as the Student Services and Outreach Librarian. Professor Amiot has an undergraduate degree from Florida State University in Anthropology, with a minor in History. She attended Texas A&M’s School of Law, located in Fort Worth, where she helped found the Military & Veteran Law Society student group during her 2L year and also served on the board for her 2L and 3L year, until graduating early in December 2016. Prof. Amiot also served on the board for the TAMU Law’s student chapter of the American Constitution Society during her 2L year, and externed for the U.S. Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps at NAS-JRB Fort Worth. After sitting for the bar exam in Texas, Prof. Amiot then attended the University of Washington’s iSchool’s #1 ranked specialization for Law Librarianship, earning her M.L.I.S. in their accelerated program. In her scholastic spare time(!), Prof. Amiot enjoys indulging her casual fascination with all things Nixon and Watergate.
