On Wednesday, April 10, 2013, the UK College of Law’s Legal Research and Writing Program hosted the final round of the first-year oral advocacy tournament, which was the culmination of a single-elimination moot court competition in which students made oral arguments relating to their appellate brief problem for the LRW Course. The two final student advocates were Lynsey Freeman, Counsel for the Appellant (Commonwealth of Kentucky) and Quinn Hill, Counsel for Defendant Regina Asher. The students appeared before a panel of distinguished judges, including Justice Daniel Venters (1975) of the Supreme Court of Kentucky, Judge Lewis Paisley (1976), Mr. Charles Wisdom, Professor Kristin Hazelwood, and Professor Sarah Welling. Please join us in in congratulating the best overall advocate from the tournament, Quinn Hill.
