July 11, 2018 - The University of Kentucky College of Law recognized the strength of the UK Law faculty through scholarship with a reception at the Hilary J. Boone Center this spring.

The Faculty Scholarship Reception has been held every other year since 2014.  The purpose of this event is to recognize the importance of research and scholarship at the College of Law and to show the impact UK Law faculty are making both internally across campus and externally across the commonwealth and nation.

“We enjoy opportunities such as this to celebrate the impact of UK Law faculty, who are world-class and represent a key component of UK College of Law’s tradition of excellence,” said David A. Brennen, dean of the College of Law.
Associate Dean Richard Ausness stated, “It is important to show the University leadership and the rest of the University community that our faculty is actively involved in addressing our nation’s most significant legal, social and political problems.”

The event gave attendees the opportunity to view a display of diverse, recently published faculty scholarship.  According to Richard Ausness, “the College of Law faculty is amazingly productive and has published many scholarly works since the last reception in 2016.”

Over the years, members of UK College of Law faculty have published more than 35 books and 75 law review articles.  These articles appeared in many prestigious journals, including Arizona Law Review, Boston College Law Review, Duke Law Journal, George Washington Law Review, Georgia Law Review, Iowa Review, Notre Dame Law Review, the Stanford Law Review, the Ohio State Law Journal and Vanderbilt Law Review.
