The College of Law Alumni Board of Directors has also established five awards to honor our graduates who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to the practice of law and service to their communities. 

Community Service Award - Given to the alum who has provided outstanding leadership in his or her community, state, or nation to aid or benefit causes not necessarily related to the legal profession.

Distinguished Jurist Award – Given to a judge who has distinguished themselves through a contribution of outstanding service to the legal profession by encouraging creative ways to deal with issues involved in the administration of justice while demonstrating a high standard for ethical conduct, fairness, knowledge of the law, and court process.

Legacy Award – Given to an alum who graduated at least 50 years ago, who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in his or her profession and/or community and has made a positive impact on the well-being of our College of Law, our Commonwealth, or elsewhere in the nation.

Professional Achievement Award – Recognizes a particularly noteworthy accomplishment in a given year and also achievement at a sustained and extraordinary level of excellence in a particular area of law or one's chosen field.

Young Professional Award – Given to a young alum who has graduated within the past 10 years and has distinguished themselves in the community or otherwise.
