The Appalachian Law Caucus will host Evan Smith, Advocacy Director at AppalReD Legal Aid. He will discuss with students about the vital role AppalReD plays in advancing justice across Eastern Kentucky, drawing on his experience in appellate advocacy and Federal Black Lung Benefits Law. This event will examine the unique legal challenges faced by rural, underserved communities and the opportunities available for law students who are interested in public interest legal practice.
