Professor Bob Lawson has been an icon at UK Law for 50 years. After graduating from UK Law in 1963 he returned to teach in 1966 and estimates he has taught over 4,000 lawyers. He has been an incredible influence on the Kentucky legal community through not only teaching legal leaders of yesterday, today, and the future, but also through his influence on the Kentucky Penal Code and the Kentucky Rules of Evidence.
As we wish him well in his retirement, the Law Alumni Association would like to give him the sendoff he so richly deserves. We hope you will join us on September 18th at the Grand Theatre in Frankfort to celebrate the man who has dedicated much of his life to UK Law and has invested in each of us.
We would like to show Professor Lawson just what an impact he has made in our lives. Please take the opportunity to offer well wishes or share your favorite memory of Professor Lawson using the form below. We plan to present a collection of the submissions to Professor Lawson at the conclusion of his retirement celebration. In order to ensure your entry is included, please submit the form by Sunday, August 16.
Stay tuned for more details about the event on September 18th. Seating will be limited and a ticket will be required for entry.
