Well, now that you're about to be lawyers, think courtroom instead of playground, think judge instead of teacher, and think replevin, injunction, restitution, contempt, and declaratory judgment. This course provides a survey of the question: "How can the court make it right?" In addition to the aforementioned tools of the plaintiff's trade, we will also explore the defendant's affirmative arsenal--"unclean hands," estoppel, laches, statutes of limitations. And in examining the many ways that courts might accomplish justice, we will uncover the limits on courts' power to do so. Grades will be based on a final exam.
