Kevin Bucknam

Director of Continuing Legal Education

Kevin P. Bucknam has served as the  Director of the Office of Continuing Legal Education at the University of Kentucky College of Law since 2001.  A summa cum laude graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, he was awarded his J.D. degree (cum laude) from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California.  After several years of civil practice in California which focused on commercial litigation, corporate transactional work, and employment law, Mr. Bucknam joined UK/CLE in 1994 as its Assistant Director and Director of Publications.  Mr. Bucknam is a founder of the American College of Equine Attorneys and served on that organization’s first Board of Directors.  He is also the General Editor for the LexisNexis/Matthew Bender, 4 volume set, Caldwell’s Kentucky Form Book.  In addition to his administrative management of UK/CLE, Mr. Bucknam served on the teaching faculty for the University of Kentucky College of Law Legal Writing Program for ten years, and has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law with Sullivan University since 1995.  He is licensed to practice law in both California and South Carolina.
