Lesley Bilby

Executive Dean and Director of Strategic Initiatives and Operations

Lesley Bilby joined the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law in October 2026. She serves as Executive Dean and Director of Strategic Initiatives and Operations, where she works to advance the Rosenberg College of Law's strategic priorities, strengthen operations, and support institutional initiatives.

 

Bilby earned a B.A. from Centre College, an M.Phil. from the University of Cambridge, and a J.D. from the University of Kentucky Rosenberg College of Law.

 

Before joining the Rosenberg College of Law, Bilby served as the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives and External Relations at Centre College. Prior to her work in higher education, she served as Assistant State Treasurer and Chief of Staff for the Kentucky State Treasury and held leadership positions with the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet, including Deputy Secretary and Executive Director of Legal Services.

 

Earlier in her career, Bilby practiced law in state and federal courts and completed federal judicial clerkships at both the district court and court of appeals levels.
