Lou Anna Red Corn, Fayette Commonwealth’s Attorney, supervises the Commonwealth Attorney Externship Program. Lou Anna was appointed Commonwealth Attorney in September of 2016, after serving as an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney since 1987. Before becoming a prosecutor, Lou Anna worked as a public defender in Eastern Kentucky. Lou Anna has tried over 225 felony cases to juries, including 51 homicide prosecutions and she and her assistants provide law students the opportunity to participate in and better understand the criminal justice system as a prosecutor. Lou Anna is a 1984 graduate from the University of Kentucky College of Law.
