Hon. Ross Ewing

Hon. Ross Ewing is currently serving as a family court judge in Lexington, Kentucky. Judge Ewing is a 2026 Fellow of the Judicial Engagement Network, studying the use of electronic tools to improve service of process in domestic violence cases. In 2024, he was awarded the Raising the Bar Award by the Kentucky Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and honored by Legal Aid of the Bluegrass with its Access to Justice award. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Ewing held several leadership roles in the bar and local community. He was the founding president of both the Kentucky Bar Association LGBT Law Section and UK OUTlaw. Judge Ewing has taught Family Law Practice & Procedure since 2022 and is a frequent teacher and speaker on family law topics in Kentucky.
