About Us
Street Law is an organization designed to serve the community by impacting the youth on an educational level. Beginning in 1970 at Georgetown Law, Street Law has allowed many law students the opportunity to teach legal issues to elementary, middle, and high school students.
The goal of UK Street Law is to encourage Law Students to volunteer, on a weekly basis, to teach young students about their legal rights, in a variety of areas of the law, at several different middle schools and high schools in the Fayette County area. Each law student is awarded pro bono hours for their participation.

Faculty, Staff, and Professionals
Street Law is a hands-on organization that requires a lot of time and dedication from everyone involved. We want to ensure that everyone who participates has a passion to help the community and is willing to be a positive role model to every student in each school that UK Street Law goes. Therefore, we encourage Professionals, Faculty, and Staff to get involved!
Reach out to Dean Murphy at danny.murphy@uky.edu, if you have any questions or would like to participate!
Interested UK Law Students
We are accepting Law Students who have a desire to do some pro bono work during their law school experience. We encourage all students to participate! If you would like to participate, please contact Dean Murphy, Professor Moore, or one of our board members.
