New dean of Rosenberg College of Law announced

University of Kentucky Provost Robert S. DiPaola has named Greg Van Tatenhove as the new dean of the J. David Rosenberg College of Law, pending Board of Trustees approval. Van Tatenhove, a 1989 alumnus of the college, is currently serving as district judge for the Eastern District of Kentucky, a role he has held since his confirmation by the U.S. Senate in December 2005. In that time, he served as chair of the Judicial Conference Committee on Court Administration and Case Management and a member of the Ad Hoc Strategic Planning Group.

Law Professor and AI Expert Publishes Book on Artificial Intelligence and the Law

University of Kentucky J. David College of Law Professor Michael D. Murray recently published a book on a range of topics related to artificial intelligence and law. The book, “Artificial Intelligence and the Practice of Law: Mastering Generative and Agentic AI,” is described as a “rigorous, pedagogical guide for the 2026 practitioner.”
