Inside a Record Label: A Day in the Life of In-House Counsel in the Music Industry

The Sports & Entertainment Law Society will host Ricky Hernandez, an in-house counsel and executive with Concord, for a career-focused speaker program. The discussion will cover the day-to-day responsibilities of attorneys working inside a music company, including advising business leadership, negotiating and drafting recording and publishing agreements, and interacting with artists, managers, and agents. The event will consist of a moderated discussion and student Q&A to expose law students to in-house and other non-traditional career paths in sports and entertainment law.
