UK Law Invests in Student Success

And University of Kentucky College of Law has developed a program to help our incoming students answer these questions and more, prior to their first day of law school.

UK Law Students Volunteer with Local Charities

The students in the University of Kentucky College of Law Class of 2018 are now several days into their first semester of law school. These individuals have chosen to pursue a career dedicated to assisting individuals and businesses in a time of need. Though they are a few years away from starting their legal careers, members of the Class of 2018 are already giving back to the Lexington community through service projects they participated in during UK Law’s Orientation. On Saturday, August 22, students and faculty assisted four local charities including Aids Volunteers, Inc.

UK Law Students Save Taxpayers $95,000, Devote 2,732 Hours to Clients

By: Whitney Harder The American Bar Association calls on each lawyer to render at least 50 hours of pro bono legal services per year. In the 2014-2015 academic year, University of Kentucky College of Law students went well above and beyond that to serve Kentuckians.

UK Law Class of 2015 Leaves a Legacy

The Class of 2015 was the first class to participate in the newly created UK Law Legacy Program.  The class raised more than $1,000 as part of a pay-it-forward initiative to build a philanthropic spirit while students are still in law school.

UK Law Librarians Offer Programming to Enhance Research Skills

As UK Law students leave the classroom and enter the workforce for summer employment opportunities, the Law Librarians want to make sure they are well equipped with the knowledge needed to excel in their positions.
