The Election Law Society Analysis Blog A Success
November 4, 2015
Members of the UK College of Law Election Law Society and Professor Josh Douglas spent Election Day, November 3, 2015, monitoring Kentucky’s election results and responding to potential legal issues raised by the media and general public. The group also posted stories in real time regarding these issues on their analysis blog.
The blog, staffed by 10 Election Law Society law student members and Professor Douglas, received traffic from 34 of the 50 states (plus the District of Columbia) and attracted visitors from at least three foreign countries, including the United Kingdom and Russia. In a two-day period, more than five hundred unique visitors landed on the blog with over two thousand page views.
The blog was featured by the Election Law Blog and the Lane Report.
To add to the success of the team’s efforts, 2L student Lorran Hart Ferguson’s post on a redistricting case was mentioned in the widely-read SCOTUSBlog on November 4.
