Kentucky Law Journal Hosts Symposium on States and Federal Copyright Law

The Kentucky Law Journal, in conjunction with the University of Kentucky College of Law and the Student Government Senate, hosted “Intermeddlers or Innovators? States and Federal Copyright Law,” in October.  The symposium took place at Gatton College of Business and Economics in Woodward Hall.

UK Law Hosts Sixth Annual Developing Ideas Conference

June 13, 2017 On Wednesday, May 17, the University of Kentucky College of Law held its sixth annual Developing Ideas Conference. Untenured and recently tenured faculty from across the nation were able to gather and share their developing ideas for scholarship in an informal, supportive, and engaging environment – just before diving into summer research. Richard C. Ausness, Associate Dean for Faculty Research and Everett H. Metcalf, Jr. Professor of Law at UK Law, spearheaded the 2017 conference.

Women’s Law Caucus and UK Law Professors Team Up to Raise Money for Markey Cancer Center

November 28, 2016 The University of Kentucky College of Law Women’s Law Caucus (WLC) recently teamed up with three UK Law Professors to host “Cocktails Against Cancer,” a fundraising event to benefit the Markey Cancer Center. In its second year since its inception, the event raised over $900 from ticket sales and donations.
