On November 8, 2019, the University of Kentucky announced a historic $20 million gift to the College of Law from J. David Rosenberg and his wife, Dianne. The gift is the third largest single donation in university history. David Rosenberg credits his legal education at the University of Kentucky for his success and leadership roles in law, finance and his community. The gift will further strengthen the academic excellence of the College of Law by supporting scholarships for outstanding students and efforts to recruit and retain world-class faculty.
J. David Rosenberg is a senior partner in the Cincinnati firm of Keating, Muething & Klekamp, where he has practiced since 1974. He is a 1971 Cum Laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. A member of the UK College of Law Class of 1974, Rosenberg graduated early from the law school in December 1973. He was named to the Order of the Coif, one of the highest academic honors in the college, won the College of Law’s Brown, Todd & Heyburn prize for outstanding work in corporate law, and was on the Kentucky Law Journal staff.
