The ability to bring together people of many different talents and backgrounds is one of the great strengths of American society. This has enabled us to do amazing things. We survived the Great Depression. We helped the world overcome great challenges in the Second World War. We advanced the cause of justice in the Civil Rights Movement.
The University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law is mindful of its role in this process. We strive to teach our students not only the las, but its practical application, which includes an appreciation for its human dimension. Our hope is that our graduates will not only practice law effectively and ethically on behalf of their clients, but also will serve their communities as leaders. We have a proud history in that regard. Many of our alumni and alumnae serve as judges, legislators, executive officials, in the military, in state and local government, and in the foreign service. In all these endeavors, knowing how to appreciate and engage people in all their variety is an invaluable asset.
UK J. David Rosenberg College of Law consistently strives to promote a sense of community and engagement and to emphasize the importance of such efforts.
