UK Rosenberg Law Professor Joshua Douglas Receives Fulbright Specialist Award to Italy at Luiss-Guido Carli University in Rome

The U.S. Department of State and Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board recently announced that Professor Joshua Douglas, Ashland, Inc-Spears Distinguished Research Professor of Law at the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law, has received a Fulbright Specialist Program award. Douglas will complete a project at Luiss-Guido Carli University in Italy that aims to exchange knowledge and establish partnerships benefiting participants, institutions, and communities both in the U.S.

UK Rosenberg Law Alum Returns to Law School as Assistant Dean of Student Services

Carlin Conway, a 2019 alum of the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law, has joined the law school as assistant dean of student services. Since 2020, Dean Conway has been actively engaged in student services within the realm of higher education, having served at both Eastern Kentucky University and Georgetown University.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 7, 2023) — Learning to bend and navigate chaos is nothing new for Emily M. Puckett, third-year law student at the University of Kentucky’s J. David Rosenberg College of Law. “I was knee-deep in a take home exam when my son, who was a senior in high school, had a steelpan concert, so I couldn’t go,” Puckett laments. “My family FaceTimed me in, and I got to watch in real time, which was not ideal, but it was a delightful reprieve from my studies. We’ve had to be creative and figure it out.”

UK’s Rosenberg Law National Moot Court Team celebrates win

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 5, 2023) — The University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law is celebrating a big win for the Moot Court Board. Recently, the Kentucky National Moot Court Team A participated in the regional competition in Richmond, Virginia. Seventeen teams from Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina competed, with UK bringing home first place.
